I am struggling. I cannot find my rhythm. This time around I have struggled more than I ever have.
I totally understand what Paul wrote in Romans 7:15 when he said, "For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled and bewildered by them]. I do not practice what I want to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate [and yielding to my human nature, my worldliness—my sinful capacity]. AMP. WHYYYYYYY did I eat those two donuts this morning!?!? I had just finished breakfast. Why?! Nearly 600 empty calories. This has NOTHING to do with my end game.
I can't bring myself to journal. I've never had trouble before. I know all the reasons to journal. For me, I am more successful. But I am struggling so much, I don't want to see it on "paper"!
If I were independently wealthy, I would hire a chef to cook every meal for me AND do my journaling.
Cooking. That's a big part of the puzzle. I live with some folks right now that do not like food smells. Especially the "weird" ones that I cook...beans, odd spices, unusual veggies. They complain I smell up the house, open windows, or spray things into the air. Makes me not want to cook. So I eat out. Or eat boxed food.
I need to find my rhythm or I just might die...literally.

Journaling is really helpful for me but I know someone who has had success with 3 meals fitting on a smallish sized plate with no snacking. You’ll find your groove. 👍

Any chance you can change your living situation? Being able to control your kitchen is very key to success. My roommate sometimes does not like the smell s of the foods i cook but he goes in the other room. He s very supportive of my woe, even though he doesn't share it. Try to hang tough!

Just re-read the part about the people in your place complaining you smell up the kitchen. Puh-lease, as if heating up takeout or TV dinners doesn’t create strong smells. Unless you’re cooking kimchi and chittlens, that’s just them finding a reason to be obnoxious. We all have different living situations so I understand you may not be able to leave, but just know you’re not the issue. 🏡
