So I have been struggling all this time to find out this???? I have been so stressed over the numbers on the scale for most of my life & been on Atkins for most of the last 2 years & didn't follow the books advice. Atkins says to take your measurements because you often lose fat & gain muscle. Of course I have heard this a million times but I never paid attention to it because I was so focused on the # on the scale. I started at 129lbs & have been 117 give or take for the past year steady. I have been trying to get under 110. Well, I had my measurements taken today & had my body fat measured & it is down from 22.7% body fat to 19% body fat in the past 6 months. My waist is now a 25 3/4" waist! Atkins is working!!!!
