The other thing I still do often is make popsicle. I have a dozen or more different types and sizes of molds. Over the weekend I made peach. Peaches and either vanilla yogurt or like Choiboni’s vanilla blend Greek yogurt. That’s what I had on hand.
Many people talk about not wanting to deprive their kids of “treats” just because they themselves are trying to loose weight or eat healthier. Well this is a great alternative to ice cream and what kid doesn’t like popsicles. Portion controlled, ONE for each person— no deadly second scoops. My peach ones were about 106 calories and about 12 carbs, I realize this might not work for Keto people,, but to be able to make something special that the whole family can have fun with makes for a great treat. The mango ones were mango purée and small diced mango (but you could just skip the dicing and just blend it. Everyone’s favorite is fudgescicle. My young friend THE GENERAL, loves kiwi lime or cucumber lime. Her best friend loves kiwi strawberry. My boyfriend likes the fudgescicles with espresso. So easy, you can make everyone’s favorite. You do have to plan ahead because they have to freeze at least 8 hours. I make them after dinner to be eaten the next night. Thousands of recipes on the internet and Amazon for the molds, although you can use small bathroom paper cups but the molds are more fun.
