Ok-it's official. I have lost 1 pound and it took ONLY 6 months! Whoo hoo! I set a goal to lose 15 pounds by my birthday in April (a mere 5 weeks away). Based on my current pace, it will be April 2015 NOT this April. I am trying very hard and let's see if I can prove myself wrong (not easy to do:)

Yesterday I went to my friends house to watch the Oscars-usually means eating and drinking to stave off boredom and induce my legendary catty humor. Not needed this time-not that the event was not the most boring for some time, rather, I did not drink (more about what I ate later) and still managed to make jokes and have a good time. Have a hangover this morning though-due to boredom.

My friend's husband served vegetable soup and roasted butternut squash (for dessert!). Delicious-just sprinkled with a pinch of brown sugar (I am going to make it using agave syrup or stevia) and cinnamon and roasted until it is soft. I have never had it before. It tasted like sweet potato/pumpkin pie. Yum!

Supposed to have training this morning but trainer cancelled. Going to gym later today with stepson. My trainer is a bit flakey. ALways has a good excuse (today it was a friend in a car crash) and it is hard for me to confront her. most likely I will simmer along until I come to a boil and then BAM!

I think if you are paying someone to train and motivate you at the gym then that person isn't doing their job. Ask to be assigned to another trainer. If they ask why, tell them you need someone more committed than that one. After all, it is hard enough to go to the gym, who needs a flaky trainer.
