Sometimes it's hard to figure out how many calories are in things. There have been cupcakes in our break room at work for three days now piled high with frosting. I finally succumbed and scraped up a big finger full from the bottom the tray (and it was DELICIOUS). So... how many calories? (This is kind of tongue in cheek, by the way...)

If you just scooped up the frosting, use a ready-made frosting such as Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines and estimate your amount which might be 2 tablespoons give it take.

I'd estimate high. Can't be more than 100 calories.

Good ideas! Just putting in 100 calories and realizing I've shorted myself that many calories from something I might like to eat later that's planned is enough to make me not want to do it again. But I confess to heading back to the break room like a moth to a flame. One of our therapists was there exclaiming, "Don't do it! Think of your progress!!!" She was right. Then one of the kiddos here brought me mac and cheese that he'd made himself (first time ever; he's 16). I had to eat it and now my sugar craving is gone. I guess I needed some carbs. Oh, and for those who don't know, I work in a pediatric therapy clinic primarily for children with autism. I do administrative work and special projects but I run into our kiddos all the time and sometimes participate in their therapy (interacting, holding a conversation, etc.). This particular boy is learning some life skills and is doing really well!

It is also not just the calories but the type of macros making up the calories. Nothing good every happens in ‘the break room’. I am strictly Keto and the break room at my workplace is loaded with carbs all the time.

@crazy8cottage Yep, just like the broken cookie pieces rule, no calories in them either 😁 (I wish!)

There's never a bad reason to eat mac and cheese Becc@! Well, my abs would tell a different story :/

Before I retired I worked as a technician for the phone company with all men. Whenever I got a craving for sweets I'd bake up some goodies, save one of two for myself, and then take the rest to work. Leave it in the break room. Less than an hour later it was gone. The guys ate everything except the plate. My little group of human garbage disposals never failed me. So I was the evil one leaving those things in the break room. Now I'm a volunteer tutor at the library, so guess where the leftover goodies go now! Yep, books and bakery goodies go together.

BlueFront, I love to bake cookies and I was known for them at this place before I had my "come to Jesus moment" with my weight. Everyone is sad... One of the gals just got honored and I was asked to pick out a gift for her. The suggestion was a cake or some special treat. I took the money to TJ Maxx and got her a new lunch sack with matching water bottle and food containers. She loved it! She just started WW so a cake would have been torture.

I do that with my baby's fries and then I am guessing how many calories did I eat hahaha

well if you love to bake you can learn some paleo and or keto recipes to play with. I am going to make keto chocolate fudge next week with almonds in the middle. there are some awesome healthier choice recipes out there. keto is lower carb and no sugar and paleo is more carbs as they use more of natural sweeteners like honey. either way lower calorie, lower refined carb desserts would be a great choice. coconut cream based ice cream, coconut and almond flours etc. I have a blue berry kind of Danish I will try too.

Socalpam, Lunch bag and bottle, what a great idea. I'm sure she appreciated that much more than a cake. Lasts a lot longer too.I mean, really, a cake would have been for everyone else not for the WW gal. You get five stars for gift choices.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Kelien-4 I confess, I never order french fries but I do steal one or two off my husband's plate. Some thing with tater tots.

I guess French fries are like chocolates, a small piece has 20 or more calories
