I'm finding myself heading back to a more vegetarian geared eating plan again. It takes a bit of planning. The weather is supposed to warm up some this afternoon and my triplet grandsons are coming to help me get some heavy work done in my yard today. It will be great to see them: they are so much fun. Them coming will also get me moving!

Re-group time!! My good intention plan thwarted initially by 11-12 hour work days and stress then they tossed me back on my old team so changes in schedules and catching up on changes on that team over the past 2 years. I'm still working on that but getting there.
I have more time now and except for Mondays I get off @3:30 every day. With the weather finally warming up somedays doing things outside so every chance I get. I am challenging myself to cook more and keep track of cost of meals. All these ads for meal kits have me wondering what I am spending.
Working on increasing my activity since I am not trapped at a desk as many hours also need to quit drinking beer totally. A 3 day weekend and next week a 4 day weekend.

A week has gone by. Some progress on getting exercise back. Mostly working on my neck and upper back. Not as much cardio as I should be doing. Food ify and too much beer after work.
Work has been overwhelming and I'm exhausted. I work in customer service and my team serves 45 mutual fund companies. It's tax season. My 11 person team is down 5 people from last year and our call volume is up about 25%. My manager has been out for 4 weeks as her Mom health issues worsened and she died. I'm the team lead. Doing my job plus much of hers. The company suddenly decided we needed help. So now I'm also training 2 temp teams and 2 new hires with zero time to plan training.
My bosses say oh you can work as much overtime as you need to to get things done. My work days are at a desk, a computer, on the phone or lately on zoom meetings 11-12 hours a day. I clocked out at 10 hours non Friday leaving at least 2 more hours of follow up calls, sup calls, recorded call reviews that should have been done. i had had enough!! I want to work my 8 hours and be done!! every single day makes me wish I could retire now but ...
Rant is over. A 3 day weekend!! It will mostly be catching up on things I can't get done during the week. DD and.SIL will be up Sunday and stay a couple of days. off to cleaning and I need a shopping list as extra people who do not eat like I do.

My world right now is a bit crazy but probably not more so than most. I have decided that I want to retire sometime soon. @ 73 this year and the increasing frustrations with my job. I've decided that's my plan.
Much of the past 2 years have been getting ducks in a row to be able to do that. I have been looking for a retirement home to buy near my oldest daughter near Truman Lake here in MO. It's on edge of the Ozarks and a beautiful location. I have lots of friends in the area and about 1 hour south of Kanss City. I started hunting last July. Course the market is skinny and I had not found anything until Dec. A neighbor of my daughter called them about selling their place. 6 acres of woods, several buildings, including a small rustic cabin (no plumbing) and a single wide 2 bedroom trailer on it. I would build a small real house on it, probably keep the trailer as a guest house or maybe quilting studio. But the trailer is livable.
Was working on solidifying the sale when the husband hung himself the last week of Dec. Yikes!! so now after a bit of time we are working to get a contract signed within the next week or 2 with the spouse. She has some health issues, so the timing is ify.
I need to get myself back in shape, starting with walking more. I'm stuck at a computer and on the phone from 7 am until 5pm most days with little chance to move around. I am working on eating better with prep cooking on weekends as too mentally exhausted after work to cook. now to start tracking food again in the next week or two.
I did buy a weaving loom and am trying to learn to weave. Not active but calming. Have been doing some meditation most days which helps me sleep.

Day 2. Did my mile on lunch break, can feel it in my legs.
Still working from home. 10 hours or more work days lately. Totally brain dead by the end of my work day. I need to get energy back, too much sitting at a desk that's why I started with cardio.
Just a quick post tonight, tired as couldn't get to sleep last night until late.
