Happy Mother's Day everyone.
Slow start for me this am. My phone rang @10:30 and i answered it as it woke me up. Was an old friend i had been thinking about lately that i had not talked to in a very long time. I was happy that i answered. Then a stormy rest of the night. Not much good sleep.
I did get some work done outside but no tilling. The pull cord popped out and i will have to fix it.
A cowpea and greens dish from Cyprus called louvi for dinner. Was really good. I will need to add it to my cookbook today. Nothing planned for my day so will trek to the natural foods store and do inside things after the inches of rain last night. Do a little food prep for the week.

Emptying my frig. I have over the last year tried imperfect foods, lately misfits foods and over time whole foods delivery thru amazon.
I was unhappy with imperfect foods cause the veggies and fruits were old and often bruised, spoiled within a couple of days. The same with misfits. Misfits also has little selection. Whole foods has constantly provided good service and have been impressed with the products i have received.
I have all these condiments etc that i rarely use so it's a go thru those day and use up the fruits and veggies. I am working on a grocery list for tomorrow though i won't need much. I am

Whew it's Sat!!! YAY! One more whole week of tax season to go and my work stress and hours should drop off some.
I have not been good about about following my plans. So back at it. I did start adding back some simple strength exercise on the TRX and resistance bands. Mostly upper body. tracking lost due to not paying attention.
We had some rain overnight and am hoping it dries out so i can work outside. it's a quick clean the house and get some personal business taken care of morning.

Would love a week off work. I so didn't want to be trapped at a desk all day. 13,500 steps yesterday, an upper body workout with the weed eater and hedge trimmer. Mentally tired after work as usual this time of year. I do need to catch up on some inside chores so it may a mostly exercise rest day. We have rain moving in so my arthritic ankles are screaming.
I made Bob's Red Mill whole grains an bean soup -- ginger and onion on the back of the package. It is really good. i need to try the curry one that is there. It's what's for dinner. I try to keep that mix in stock.

Another beautiful day yesterday. I spent most of it trying to repair my lawn mower. No luck, i think it needs a new carborator (can't spell). Would have to order it or a month to have it repaired. Figured well i would get some weedeating and trimming done. My long power cord is no where to be found.
I did get some work done though not much. Went online shopping bought a new mower and a new cord. I can't wait a month to mow. By the time i picked it up and home it was 7:30 pm. I will order the part, try to fix it and keep it and keep it as a spare. I have no luck with mowers.
10,000 plus steps. I was bad and bought a 6 pack of beer, drank 4. It tasted good after out in the sun most of the day. A side affect was i didn't sleep as well as i have been most nights. I still need to try to track yesterday's food.
Another pretty day so back outside. Finish mowing and maybe till my main veggie garden space and work on my front yard gardens. Depends on if the dirt is still wet what will get done. Past time to get my day moving
