04 February 2023
A few months ago I tried several of the meal plan services. I was not thrilled with them but I found some of the planning techniques interesting. I have planned several meals this week using their techniques and actually a recipe from Easy Plate that I liked but am adding additional veggies. Prep will mostly be tomorrow and get my frig re-organized. I do have a batch of kidney beans in the instant pot as one dish has them.
I am working on getting my focus back to primarily vegetarian but more flexitarian. I am doing a weekly folder with plans and a shopping list taking into consideration what I already have. Food is so expensive now that trying to plan is so important. I did not detail prep plans but has references to various cookbooks.
Some things will be taken to my cabin to re-heat or finish next weekend. I am limited on what I can do there. Being away from home often is proving to be a challenge.

Will have to jump back on the wagon tomorrow. Have lost the past couple of days simply busy and not paying attention and I don't have the habits back yet for tracking etc.
I am hungry for pizza and will do a homemade one with italian sausage, mushroom onions and green pepper using mozzarella and provolone. I did find my Pizza, Pizza cook book. It's a copyright 2003 weight watchers one. I had forgotten about it. Not hard to do with 500+ cookbooks. I had started some homemade bread after work so curst will be homemade as well. Laced with fresh grated parmesan and ground fennel. I will do a small one and leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I usually make my own sausage but this one is Aldis.

i swear fit bits don't count steps holding on to a shopping cart. 0nly @ 6,000 steps. Ikea is a workout in itself!! Much accomplished and home in time to watch the kick off.
I now have food stocked and veggies again some will go to the cabin next weekend. I have decided it's still useless to plan meals until after going shopping. When I do I can't find what I need. Basics today from my favorite oriental store, natural grocers and a couple things from WalMart. Errands done including renewing my car plates.
Now to put things away and plan for this week and what to take with me next weekend while watching the game. Will do a pilates / yoga workout after game It's one that helps my back and neck.

Saw a drop this week. YAY!! struggling yet to balance things between 2 "homes". I am home this weekend.
My home is stocked with lots of dried beans, grains, and lots of seasonings and ingredients and lately not much fresh and very short on veggies. I have been buying some meats and cheese at a local butcher shop and deli near my cabin. their products are excellent and if fresh meats they are from local farmers. They will do small packages which fits me perfectly. I bring them home for the week ahead or freeze them in my tiny frig/freezer or once I get home.
It has been a challenging week as January tends to be with my job. My body feeling like it has been fighting some bug so trying for extra sleep and comfort food. I have more energy today. I braved Aldis after work and stocked up on some basics, a few fruits and veggies. I am trying a few new frozen veggie options. Trying tonight frozen Aldi's organic butternut squash. fresh is better but it is not too bad but watery, maybe cooking it differently,
