Water weight coming back off, stopped taking the Lasix, but still on the Potassium, because it is still a little low.
Still waiting for the results from the bone biopsy/culture. My new ID doctor here says they will repeat the tests if we don't get the culture and sensitivity portion soon, so they can treat me for the abscess that has developed where the left rotator cuff is ripped. Can't wait for the MRI's to evaluate the extent of the damage they did to me.
Fully committed to being back on track with Atkin's, and again, the weight is melting right off of me. Of course, it doesn't hurt that I have no appetite. Thank goodness for the protein powder.
I've missed you guys!! Hope all are well.

UUGGHHHH!! I had the bone biopsy in Miami...they gave me conscious sedation and a local, and I guess I fell asleep. Woke up with people holding me down, with my arms taped up and over my head. Left rotator cuff feels like it is fully unattached, and my elbow, wrist, and Right side elbow and wrist feel reinjure, as well as my scapula. Please God, help me! I also have an abscess where the rotator cuff is torn... uugghhhhhhhh.... where's Calgon when you need it, REALLY!!

Well, it has been over 6 weeks since I've been on here... medical issues have been keeping us traveling all over Florida, and very busy with tests and specialist visits.
I also took a break from LCHF...realized that I didn't miss carbs as much as I thought. Gluten really does make me feel crappy, and the extra weight gain doesn't help.
My abdomen and spine are filled with extra fluid... waiting to see nephrologist to get put on diuretics. Last time I lost 35 pounds of fluid in 2 days...so hopefully I will get back to where I was very soon!
Today is day one back on track with LCHF, so that should help too.
On a good note, I don't have Multiple Myeloma, but lymphoma/leukemia is still not off the table. I DO have Polychromasia Vera +1, but it is mild, and since I get so much blood drawn every 3 weeks plus...for now, no blood letting required. The specialist in Miami says I don't actually need a spinal fusion right now, but I do need their Interventional Radiology department to do a CT-GUIDED SPINAL TAP/BIOPSY/CULTURE to see which antibiotic will kill the Osteomyelitis and discitis. I will be put on IV antibiotics for AT LEAST 8 weeks, probably longer...to ensure we kill it ALL this time.
On a bad note, the Cipro-induced MCTD (Mixed Connective Tissue Disease) has caused my other arm's rotator cuff and bicep muscle to tear...looks and feels worse than my right side...and my left knee has a torn meniscus, is leaking red and yellow bone marrow, has 2 differently shaped lesions, AND avascular necrosis. UUGGHHHH!!!
I REALLY NEED A FULL BODY MRI to evaluate everything at once, instead of doing 3 or 4 MRI's every few weeks.
Say a little prayer for me please...and I've GOT THIS on getting back on track with LCHF...I TRULY feel better physically and mentally while eating this way...so I'm fully ready to get back on the horse!!
