greedy guts
Another great way to get your mind off of food is to find an activity you really like and spend half an hour or more doing that. It's probably something that you haven't done in a while but wish you did more often. For me it's painting, and it's nice because when I paint, i lose track of time and the next thing I know it's the next meal time!
You can do it! We all slip up, but it'll be okay.

carbohydrates VS fat intake
I guess it may not be the "healthiest" but that's what I've known from talking to a lot of medical professionals, (there's quite a few in my family...).
Their advice is double or triple your veggies since very few Americans actually eat their correct share of veggies. Also, you need up to 6-8 servings of carbs a day! It's actually not as many as it sounds. One slice of bread is a serving. And as far as meats, legumes, protein-y stuff goes you should really only be eating the size of a matchbox a meal... or the size of a fist a day. Something like that.
Anyway, most ethnic diets are in that ratio, basically. It's when I moved to the US that I gained 50 lbs! Oh, man! But now I'm doing my best to get back on track.

carbohydrates VS fat intake
I believe that the healthiest ratio is around 50-65% carbs, 25-30% fats, and 15-25% protein.
It doesn't matter when you eat these, i think. As long as you have them all in a day. Although, try to have your bigger meals anything but dinner!

Hi! I'm new here!
Hi! I'm very new here!
I'm trying to change my lifestyle a bit and get fit for my wedding this summer.
Up until my bike got stolen 6 months ago, I have been fairly active but since then, I've been near sedentary and have been gaining weight.
I'm trying to stop the weight gain and feel good about myself on my wedding day!
I think this website can really help... the only thing is, I don't know anyone here!
I'd love to find other people like myself who can support me and I can support back.
What's up?
