Dang it! Weight just keeps bouncing between 135 and 138. I say it like it is the fault of the scale instead of me! I leave to go take care of my Mom tomorrow. Staying until the first of October. So this is the second day of a 2 day cooking marathon to keep hubby nurished while I'm gone. Of course it won't last til I get home, he'll have to live out of the freezer convenience food and canned items the 2nd week. I talked to my brother last night and Mom is now in a hospital bed instead of her recliner because of issues with bed sores. She is not happy about this change. Hope you all are doing good!

Hubby and I celebrated our 56th wedding anniversary last week. Went to Des Moines to the botanical gardens. They were great. There is one bonsai tree that has been in training since 1865!! Then I went antique shopping while hubby went to the tool store. Made both of us happy! Then out for dinner. I would marry him all over again! Finally took off a couple of pounds, so moving in the right direction for a change. Hope you all have a good Labor Day weekend.

Got home from Mom's day before yesterday. Today we went to a community playhouse production of Fiddler on the Roof with several members of my high school class. The musical was good, dinner afterwards was nice, and the fellowship was wonderful. Struggling with staying at my goal weight. Dang it!

Hubby and I took a little road trip last week. Spent a couple of days in Eureka Springs Arkansas, then on to Branson Mo and went to the Dolly Parton Stampede dinner show. Way too much food, left more than I ate. The show was good lots of horses and I really loved the piggy races! Visited with a former co worker on the way down and a cousin on the way home. Hubby was ready to get off the farm for a few days. It was great traveling with him. Now I am back at my Mom's for 10 days.
