Back to the grind today. Here's to a better week. Still missing the boyfriend a lot, but sticking to my decision. Why is it that when someone's gone, all you can remember are the good things?
Had a rough Friday night. Broke my dry January, got drunk, at a pizza (yes, an entire pizza), and watched sad movies and cried a lot. But, that's done. It happened, I learned, it's over. Already back on track.
Had a good Sunday. Got a nice bike ride in, did grocery shopping for the week and prepped lunches for work. Had no appetite, and ate way under my goal. Today has been going well. Decided to take the career change offer at work, so I'll be transitioning in April sometime.
Have personal training and barbell club after work tonight. Really looking forward to it!

So done with this week. In addition to finding out I’m transitioning to my nightmare job yesterday, I broke up with my boyfriend last night and had a terrible meeting this morning where a huge project I’ve been working on just got ripped to pieces. At least I think the group I met with this morning will be shot down by the executive team in favor of my plan. But getting yelled at for an hour is never fun.
Just want to go to the gym and forget all of this. Need to do a long, long bike ride tomorrow.

Stress sucks. If one thing is best at derailing me, it's stress. Just found out today that I get to leave my dream job in a few months for the #1 job I would detest most. And I don't get a say. Well, I do get a say, sorta. I can turn it down, drop out of the rotational program I'm in, and lose out big-time on salary, and my school won't be comped anymore. Or, I can suck it up, and deal with it for the next 3-4 years. But damn it would suck. My boss would be a guy who I strongly dislike and he is not a fan of me either. The job would be given to me instead of people that have been working for it for years, and they would be my direct reports. So I'm sure they'll just love me.... some chick from the office coming in and stealing their promotion.
Gonna work the stress out at the gym after work. Can't wait for today to be over. Glad I'm giving up booze this month, otherwise tonight would be a rough one.

Well today went off of plan. Was going to go to the gym this morning, but overslept. Then had a surprise working lunch meeting. Although I kept myself to my calorie limits, I splurged with a handful of potato chips. Omg, so good. Haven't had chips in forever.
Was supposed to go weightlifting after work, but I just felt so exhausted. Listened to my body and took a nap instead. Overall calories are low today, so I'm not worried. I don't want to burn out, so two rest days this week instead of one is fine.
Tomorrow will be a tough day anyways. Personal training before work and barbell club in the evening. Assuming I can get my car out of my parking spot, we are getting blasted with freezing rain all night.

Lol, well, after ranting about the boyfriend on here, he came over last night.... with two pints of Ben and Jerry's.... I didn't eat it, he got mad, we fought, he left. Call it a hunch, but I don't see this relationship lasting, and I can't say I'm bummed about it. I need supportive people in my life, not sabotaging ones.
Anyways... had a great workout this morning! Involved lots of sprints and box jumps, which were a first for me. Intimidating but fun! Excited for barbell club this evening as well.
Also, finally booked a beach house for a week-long vacation in April with my friends! We are going to Florida to just relax and maybe go scuba diving or something. We got a really nice house right on the beach. We always talk about doing a spring vacation, but have never actually gotten around to it. Really looking forward to this! Plus, this means I need to go swimsuit shopping, which is exciting for once...
