On 13th July blood tests showed I'd tripped over from being insulin resistant into being a diabetic - time to get serious!

Starting Again
Once again I find myself here
Despite my weight not being constant, I'm so pleased FatSecret is. I note that this is the 4th 'new start' since I joined in 2014. It's good to look back at my weight and see that I keep coming back to the setting point I now seem to have (give or take a couple of kgs). Anyway, this time round I'm following Dr Michael Mosely and his 800 diet.
Basically it's intermittent eating, and keeping the carbs low. He quotes many clinical trials and their results. Boy has dieting changed since I started my first diet way back in the 70s.
This is my 4th day of intermittent dieting and can honestly say, since my carb intake is low, my appetite has diminished.
I'm trying to keep to 18/6, which means I eat within the 6 hours. But today, seeing I had a hospital appt an hour or so away, which involved a couple of tests, I've managed 21/3.
My dinner tonight, lightly dusted cod, avocado and sweet pepper salad tossed in a mayo/ketchup/tabasco sauce with mixed salad. Oh and some crispy kale. (kale tossed in olive oil and air fried, lots of salt added).
Tomorrow I'm back on the eating for 6 hours only. Breakfast at 10 am, and dinner at 4pm.

Well said! I really don't know what perverted fun these hackers get, they should put their 'talents' to a positive use.

Tyoe 2 Diabetes
I am not diabetic but certainly have lots of markers that I have prediabetes. That's why I'm on low carb high fat woe.
