For South Beachers, I am at the end of Phase One, but SCARED to bring back the bread-it my downfall (along with chocolate). How do you all do it?? I need pointers.
I am down a pound and I worked out all 5 day this week after work. I don't tend to get to do anything on the weekends! Why can't I get my lazy butt out of bed on the weekends????
I am starting the Track Everything challenge this weekend. I think just that will keep me on track, as I won't want to admit to eating anything too bad!

I think I will weigh in every M, W, F. I don't like doing it everyday, but every other would be OK. I did go down 2 lbs. but will see on Friday if that is real or fluctuation.
Tough night with hubby last night. He has health issues that he refuses to address. Since my 70 yr. old mother battled so boldly her lung cancer, I can no longer tolerate his reluctance to take care of himself. But, I did not lose focus and indulge in chocolate! I am determined to walk the walk and take better care of myself.

Well, I am just getting into this site, and hoping that "talking" to others will help me stay on track.
I lost a lot of weight, without trying, when my mom was ill with cancer. I think the worry and the sadness made my body change in a way that I couldn't keep weight on if I tried. My mom died a year ago, and now I have gained about 10 pounds (all in my thighs!). A new depression, one of marital problems, makes me add weight without trying. It is not that I am just unmotivated, although I have been that way, but it seems my body again has changed and food sticks to my thighs like never before. The "I just don't care" attitude does not help when I am feeling down.
But, I am newly motivated. Since beginning school, where I work, I have stayed on track with a South Beach type diet and walking/running or toning Mon-Fri. Weekends are a bit more challenging, since I have a lot going on with the kids. I could still walk in the morning if I want to, the kids are old enough and my husband is there. I just get lazy. I think I "deserve" the weekends off. I need to change that mentality. I'm trying.....
