I've been having some problems staying in Ketosis. Last night I was doing some more research on sweeteners. I found out that Maltodextrin is one of the worst ones for raising blood sugar. Here the last few weeks I've been drinking a "sugar free" drink mix. Frustrates me that I have been being so good about counting carbs and watching everything I eat only to find out that one of the things I've been doing has been totally working against me.

Been an interesting 5 weeks. Lost 21 pounds. Been on the LCHF diet. Hard some days not having breads and rice/grains, and no fruit. I've found several recipes that I really enjoy, especially my Meatballs Marinara. I plan on continuing this way of eating but have decided that I am ready to allow myself cheat days once in awhile now.

Tomorrow is the last weigh-in of a 6 week Biggest Loser challenge at work. I may have lost one pound this week but thats it. Seriously considering fasting with only water today and taking an epsom salt bath tonight. Read an article where a guy can lose 10-12 pounds in one day by doing this... just really want to help my team win this challenge. We've moved up from 15th place to 6th place in the last couple weeks only because of my weight loss. The other members of my team are doing steps so they can only gain one point per week... if we are to win its going to be on me... thoughts? Is doing this one time just for a challenge such a bad thing?
