Today is day 4 of 16:8 IF, and I love it! I've actually lost 2 lbs since my Monday weigh in, but I'll hold off logging it until next Monday to see how it evens out (I only record my weight once a week, but I weigh myself every morning to help stay on track). I've always thought fasting meant starving, but it's actually the opposite. Intermittent fasting has finally taught me how to read hunger signals, and that it's ok not to feel "stuffed" all the time. I used to equate "hunger" to anything less than a full stomach of food (which, in all honesty, is probably 90% of the obesity problem here in the U.S.).

It's no wonder we have such a relationship with food... It's everywhere! On tv, billboards, magazines... There's a fast food restaurant every 1/2 mile (at least). It's constantly being shoved in our face to eat more, more, more! And it's not usually healthy food these places are serving; it's pure junk. Since I've cut out gluten, bread and sugar, I can hardly find anything to eat at these places. Maybe a salad if I'm lucky, or a piece of grilled chicken; everything else is battered and fried, or loaded with sugar. Ok, rant over ;-)
