Question for experienced low carb friends...
I'm thinking I may need a boost in electrolytes, due to the fact that I drink approx. 1 gallon of water per day. What's the best way to go about that? I would love to get it from coconut water, but I'm afraid the natural sugars will throw me out of ketosis. Any recommendations? I'd really like something that has zero carbs (or close to it). Or if I'm not cramping up, should I not worry about it? I drink lemon water daily, and add pink Himalayan salt occasionally to my food. Is that enough?

Well, tonight was monumental... I made brownies for my husband and kids (none of which are overweight, and don't realize the struggle of making brownies and not being able to eat them) and I DIDNT LICK THE BOWL! Yep, you heard right... NO bowl licking! Never, ever, in my life, have I made brownies and NOT licked the bowl... It was hard. I wanted to. The chocolatey goodness was screaming out to me, begging me to just try a little... But I stood firm! And then I rewarded myself with my delightful Russell Stover's sugar free pecan caramels :)

I love the fact that I am finally learning how to love myself. Being depressed has a lot to do with why I gained so much weight in the past, but no more. I've learned that it's ok to do things for me, to take time for me, and to spoil myself from time to time. Everyone has bad days and hard times.... It's how we choose to deal with those things that make us who we are. So I'm focusing on the positive and finally figuring out what makes ME happy, instead of worrying about if I'm making everyone else happy. I feel like for the first time I'm finally learning who I am as a person, instead of just a mother and wife, and I like me :)
