Scale-y business
In science labs when that's happening, and a different scale isn't an option, you weigh the thing 3-4 times, throw out the most extreme value and average the rest. Bit of a nuisance but it should help smooth out your numbers.
(Simpler alternative - weigh yourself three times, and take the middle number.)

Just an FYI.......
Might have to try this - I love Boston Pizza's jambalaya but it's a calorie bomb.
(PS: 3.5 pounds a week? Jeez, look at you go.
