Kinect or Wii???
We have a Wii. The games I played (shooting, cow racing, golf, bowling, billiards) were more like games, but standing up to play them and movement was better than couch potato time.
There are a few that I've played recently that did work up some sweat. Tennis and boxing. Tennis took some time to get me sweating, but boxing had me sweating by the second round in the first match. 20 minutes of boxing had me sweating more than 20 minutes on my treadmill.
If your current exercise is getting off the couch to get a refill, then yeah even the Wii games are more exercise. If you want a Wii game to make you sweat, play boxing.
We got ours used off Craig's list. It was only $100 for the Wii, 2 controllers, Wii fit with board, Wii sports, and Wii games.
