I’ve been really active recently with moving and getting unpacked and it’s helping me to shed pounds. It’s not a fast weight loss but I am pleased to see progress.
I have also started working out at the gym. I have to admit I had hoped to go more often than I have but I’ve been exhausted! Moving was much easier when I was younger. Anyways I managed to go a couple times a week and do two weight circuits and about 30 minutes of cardio.
I have changed my way of eating too. I’m still doing keto MOST of the time. But I decided that once a week I would allow myself some carbs..maybe even a little treat. This seems to work for me and I don’t feel deprived nor guilty when I have a non keto food item.
Just been trying to shake it up and do something different. This weight loss thing is a slow process and requires patience. May we all have success! Good day FS family.

In the past 19 days I moved to a new home, took an 8 day cruise, and joined a gym. I’ve been doing lots of unpacking and trying to get settled in. I’m pleased that when I weighed in today I had not gained any. That’s a win for me. While we cruised I indulged in deserts, breads, and wine. Items I don’t allow myself much of on a day to day basis. I’m back now on keto and feeling motivated to continuing on this journey.

Keeping really busy with house renovations. Been staying on track with keto. Moving more. Seem to be in less pain.

I’ve been feeling so stressed. Last night I went off keto and had a chicken salad croissant and peanut butter cookie. Ugh. I felt sick afterwards and depressed. That was the first time in almost two months that I screwed up.
Everyone says you loose weight really fast on keto but that’s not happening for me. Is it because of age? I’m over sixty. Metabolism is slow. I don’t get much exercise. I try but I have bad knees and this last time I pushed myself to get out for a three mile walk I really paid for it. I’ve been icing my knees trying to take down the inflammation. It’s complicated. I have Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR) so that flares up at the most inconvenient times (like when I’m under stress) and I have a torn meniscus in one knee (which I need surgery for at some point). Anyways, given my last response to a walk I think I need to wait until I take some more weight off before jumping into an exercise routine. So the weight is coming off sloooooowly.
The new home we bought feels like it’s becoming a nightmare. Renovations seem to be uncovering one problem after another. I’m not very good at dealing with all that stuff. My husband is good at that but he is off working. He travels throughout the US Monday through Friday so it’s up to me. I just don’t feel like I’m doing a very good job.
Thanks for letting me rant. Hoping tomorrow will bring sunshine and a ray of hope.
