Yoplait yogurt - some are 99% fat free but still 4 pts!
Yeah a lot of "fat free" means "sugar added"
Salad dressings are often like that too
I think I pretty much have the points calculator memorized, so its a quick glance at the label every time.
My snack-o-meter is:
0 points - Enjoy
1 points - go for it
2 points - only if its good
3 points - better be decadent
4 points - no thanks.

Drinking water
Once a week or less is the key, otherwise you will get ancy about weight fluctuations, and consitantcy is also important.
My Saterday ritual is: get up, goto the bathroom, have a shower, brush the teeth, then weight in. At that point I've hopefully shed every spare gram I could (including tooth scum
But I always let the scale round up if I'm between to lines, that way I will probably lose the other half a pound the next week.
Anyways, ritual keeps me sane, and away from the scale.

Yoga
Yoga or Pilates are good for toning the muscles under your spare tire, but exercise cannot really target specific fat. So do what ever exercise you are most comfortable with, and can keep going at.
In general weight training will probably go faster, as you can increase the resistance, where as Pilates and Yoga, you may find slow down and plateau as you actually lose the weight that creates the resistance.
On the other hand they will certainly increase your flexibility, and as you lose the weight, reveal a more sculpted body. You may just want to change to a gym that offers a breadth of activities, including weights, aerobics and yoga/pilates classes, so you can cross train as your interests change.

Is it just me?
Yup, obsessed is normal, unfortunately the more you think about food, well the more you think about food. Makes me a little crazy, but just keep at it. Remember if you only dream about it, is 0 points
