My bio entry
Well, here goes.
I'm a 58 year old heart attack survivor (21 Aug 2019), barely according to all of my Dr's. Some even tell me, on a regular basis I might add, that I'm a walking miracle, and that my friends, scares the crap outta me. I also had to have an emergency quadruple bypass surgery (4 Sept 2019), which they really weren't sure that I'd pull through. They truly didn't want to perform the surgery, in fact they were real close to making the decision of not doing it. Of coarse I had to make things even more difficult for them by having complications, which resulted in them having to crack my chest open a 2nd time, two days after the 1st time (Had some leaks that needed repairing).
This whole journey thus far has changed my perspective on MY life and life in general. Prior to all of this heart fun, I truly didn't care about my life or lifestyle. "Gotta die of something someday! Right?!?" Well, in these recent days/months I have come to the conclusion that I should and want to do things differently, for myself, my family and so as to not have wasted the surgical team's and other Dr's time and effort to save my life.
Someone somewhere deemed it necessary for me to still be walking His earth, for reasons I have yet to be shown or figure out. So, I need to get my health in order. The healthy eating lifestyle change has been a struggle for me which has brought me here and to a few other apps I use for tracking my vitals, etc...
I hope to find the encouragement needed to help me stay on track with this whole new way of living. I know that it is ultimately up to me to walk this path, but a little help from some friends on a similar path sure could make things a bit easier, or at the very least, a little more fun.
Well, that's pretty much my story, for now anyway.
See you on the healthier side of this journey we call life.

Had to have a breakfast bar and 2 Hershey's minis this morning to combat a sugar drop while in Cardiac Rehab (pretty much the same as physical therapy).
That is usually my Hypo recovery/prevention snack when away from the house. When this happens at home, I generally have a 4oz container of Activia yogurt and either a Glucerna shake drink or an Atkins shake drink.
I also generally note these hypo shacks so when I fill out my complete logat the end of the daqy for the doctors, I have an explanation for them already written out as I forget a lot of stuff these days since having the open heart surgery.
