I just got back from a two week, 5000 mile road trip around the western US. It was a blast, and I got to see a lot of things that I had not seen before. Being on vacation, I didn't necessarily watch my diet at all. I ate very well in Las Vegas, cheesecake and all. Now, I am paying the price. After two weeks of truck stop food, delicious high-end meals (Vegas), and even some skipped meals, I am now facing the consequences of my actions. The scale this morning read a whopping eight pound gain. Now, back to our regularly scheduled program of dieting and exercise.

I splurged for lunch today, and snacked on some drunken noodles from the joint on campus. Happy/sad to say that I could only eat about half of it. I think I actually came out negative calories on the deal, what with the walking that I did to get to the place.
I purposely chose the cafeteria on the far side of campus to include the exercise as part of lunch. Sooooo, rice noodles and exercise makes it cool, right?

Hmmm. Can I be passing the plateau? Couldn't believe my eyes when I looked at the scale this morning. I felt like I hogged out yesterday, and I'm actually down by two pounds. The week is looking up!
