Mediterranean WOE is for me I’ve realised after trying various restriction diets. I am eating the best variation of foods I have for a long time. I am enjoying my food and feel satiated. Less snacks and less extras are needed. I have gone down a belt hole since starting without counting (I will need to be more attentive as time passes). I have not weighed. I am eating a lot more carbs than I thought I was able but as these are extremely low sugars it appears to be sitting well with me. This does include either bread or potatoes or pasta at every meal but nutrient dense items. I am not excluding anything. My plates look balanced and I do not eat what I don’t enjoy, thinking “it’s healthy” and then still eat what I want after. I feel like my food crazy switch has been disabled and I just enjoy my food, which is quite a major step forward for me. Plus I feel like this is giving me all the options I need to make choices well when I dine out in the future or travel on holiday which is important to me.
