I'm modifying my diet, essentially going off Atkins. My energy was too low and the weight wasn't coming off even after dropping 1000 calories (to a still high 2800-3000) and maintaining ketosis. My new approach will incorporate more complex carbs and trying to get my calories consistently below the 2500 level working toward 2000-2200.

I'm pissed. I'm not getting anywhere after a month and a half. My ketostix have been showing at least trace levels most of the time (dropped out this week after a bad meal on Sunday) but I'm not losing. I've cut my calories by an average 1000 calories/day since I started -- I don't care what diet you're on, that should result in a weight loss. I've upped my exercise, adding at least a 1/2 hour walk each day and often more.
Yesterday I'm sure was a bad day too. No major carbs, but I had an atkins bar and four atkins shakes, and ate enough meat to go way over on calories. I did unwrap an ice cream bar and immediately throw it out. I also had coffee w/ splenda and did NOT have donuts while at the Dunkin' waiting the storm out. Believe me, I wanted to take my vengeance out on this diet by eating bad things, and largely resisted. I just stepped on the scale (albeit after breakfast) and it said 260, 3 pounds over my start of 257.
I'm seriously starting to think that this WOE is just not working for me like it did when I was younger, and I might be better served in the morning with a large oatmeal.

The scale is going the wrong way. Not happy about this. Calories continue to be a struggle, need to get them below 2500.
