P90X and WOW
My wife and I have done P90X twice in the past. The first time we did the meal plans as described in the nutrition guide. That was expensive, and my wife was spending a ton of time preparing food. The next time we did it, we used the portion plan. My wife made small colored squares for each type of food (protein, fruits, veggies, etc.). As we ate a serving of each, we'd take it out of one dish, and put it in another. However, we just ate whatever we wanted, and used the portion guides to determine what it counted as. That worked really well for us, and allowed us eat right, economically. Most importantly, because I travel all the time, it allowed me to eat on the road while sticking to the plan. My results were fantastic.

Remember, results are mostly found in the kitchen.
