Not much in the way of exercise, what with the tax office hours and the torrential downpour that lasted so many days that I began work on an ark. But I stuck with OMAD this week.

Am I glad that 2023 is in my rear view mirror. I still can’t move much, but the ortho docs say that with a couple of years of physical therapy, I might regain most of my mobility. The good news is another PET scan showed no recurrence of the Lymphoma. The bad news is that the accident knocked out my hearing and diminished my eyesight. Sie la vie. I’ve been back in Texas working since the 1st of the year. I sold my practice, and agreed to work one more season to transition the business. The new owner just asked if I’d be willing to work remotely assisting the office along with two shorthanded offices in Oklahoma. So I’ll be heading home in 3 weeks. I was up about 6 pounds a couple of weeks ago, but OMAD has brought it back down. I’ll just have to see, how this eating plan works over the long haul.

I'm feeling truly blessed to have survived and recovered so well. I gained some weight during my recovery, but I'm getting back on track. I started a 22/2 IF this week by doing OMAD. i don't eat until 6 PM and I'm limiting calories, carbs and (at my Nephrologist's orders) protein. Finally getting back to walking after the July accident. I can go a mile most days and up to 2 miles once a week or so. My physical therapy is helping to get my back in better shape so that the spine doesn't freeze up. I'm done with all 3 orthopedic surgeons and the concussion doctor that were working on me. I'm also done with the urologist (no more surgeries). My hearing was, somehow, destroyed in the accident and I'll need hearing aids, but they can't get me in until after I return from Texas in April. If things continue in this way, I hope to be back to cycling and down to my goal weight again by the end of April. I truly hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I know what I'm thankful for!

Couldn't exercise (or move, for that matter) for months coupled with a poor diet. Finished with prednisone and the pain is diminished. Doctors won't let me do heavy workouts, but simple exercise and walking are in the mix.

Got past the lymphoma and then got T-Boned in a car wreck on July 11th. Spent a week in the ICU. Broke a collarbone and 5 vertebrae in my lower back. I had a concussion and a brain bleed along with a lacerated spleen. So, absolutely no exercise for me. The good news is that according to a bunch of x-rays and MRIs, there aren’t any displaced fractures so everything should heal on its own over a long period of time. Just looking forward to a better 2024.
