Hi my name is Sarah, I'm 22 years old, I live in California and I am trying to lose about 20 lbs. I'm sure that most people think that 145 is not fat. Okay fine so I'm not "fat", but I am uncomfortable in my body and that's why I want to lose weight.
I have struggled with my weight my whole life. I have tried diet after diet and my weight has just gone up and down over the years, and every time I try to lose weight again it just gets harder. 3 years ago my weight got all the way up to 160. I was in a really bad time of my life, I was depressed and all I did was eat.
I have had pretty low self esteem my whole life and feeling bad about my body definitely doesn't help so I hope that losing some weight and getting in better shape will help me feel better about myself. When I was in high school and in PE and on the dance team I weighed about 130 lbs. and I was in really good shape and I want to get there again! I also have back pain and knee pain and I have no idea where it came from. I've been through all kinds of physical therapy, chiropractic, etc. and nothing has helped. I losing some weight will!
I've tried lots of diets, and every one has failed. I am now doing my own diet. I am vegetarian. I mostly eat vegetables, no bread, but some wraps, pitas, pasta, rice, etc. Meat just makes me feel heavy and it seems like I am full forever (meat takes a long time to digest). I used to get sick a lot (stomach aches) when I ate meat, but I haven't since I stopped! I also feel a lot lighter, have more energy, and my skin is nicer, my hair is softer and shinier, and my eyeballs are whiter! I joined a gym and am waiting to meet with a personal trainer (one free meeting). I have been vegetarian for about 3 months but just recently stopped eating bread and cut back on fatty foods like cheese. My boyfriend has been vegan for 3 months and lost 20 pounds! Two weeks ago I weighed 148, so I have lost about 5 pounds!
