Raised my goal weight to 66kg because I know I'd be happy at 65.5kg and it would be nice to see that line change colour for good. Last week my calories got way too high for my liking and I peaked over 3,5k on Saturday and then stopped tracking on Sunday. Turned a new leaf on Monday and I've managed to keep it at an average of 1650 until Thursday. Weekends are always challenging for me, but I always work on the daily average so as long as that is within range of my 1800 target I'll be fine. My weight spiked to 71kg, which was a bit of a shock to see on the scale on Sunday, but it must have been a bit of water retention or who knows.

My average daily steps were just over 8200 last week and around 9500 so far this week. Walking to work as well today and doing an 8-mile walk on Sunday, which should keep it all good.

I also did my first workout I think since January of this year. Felt great immediately after, but then the doms have been tough the last couple of days. I actually even used some cans of baked beans as weights for some arm moves because I'm so out of practise, but we'll see how that goes. Used 5kg each for legs and chest presses, etc. Summer and warmer weather is always a great motivator for me because I actually do love to workout. Perimenopause has just meant feeling so fatigued, body and mind-wise the last few years, but I will keep trying to gain back my strength. I'm just holding on to my walking and the physical exercise I get at work as signs that I'm doing ok health-wise. I've been in a building with only two floors mostly this year so I miss the 4 story building where I got so many more steps in before, but that hopefully means I can get back in to YT workouts again this year.

Anyhoo, hope you all have a fabulous weekend! The forecast isn't as good as last weekend, but it should still be lovely. Enjoy!!! x

This morning I got on the scale twice. The first reading just after 7:30am was 68.15kg and then around 8:30ish after a shower and having had a pint of water it said 67.8kg. I then got on it again this afternoon after walking nearly 13k steps and having two lattes and a choc mint ice-cream (in the space of 3 hours) and it was somewhere around 68kg. So technically did I reach my goal of being below 68kg today? I think not, but I am in the vicinity and it does seem imminent. :)

Water intake was good, not great this week and I've kept to just over 1700 calories average so far, but I think I've blown it today. Average steps for the week so far is just over 8k this week - will have walked to work only 3 days this week, but it's better than the only 1 day last week. I also walked with hubby to Lidl on one of those days.

This weekend there is live music at a lovely estate garden tomorrow and then jazz in a park nearby as well on Sunday - so if the weather would play along it would be my ideal weekend. The only thing that would make it better would be having a furry four-legged doggy to sit on my lap and enjoy these events with us, but hopefully that will come in time. Patience is indeed a virtue. Also met up with a friend for a walk, which is always lovely. And I got to wear a sundress for a change as there were blue skies this morning, which I cherish!

Hope you all have a great weekend! x
