Add food to database
Two ideas might work ..... One try to add it as a new food item ( put in name as an add item to lunch, hit + sign at bottom and fill in details ) ...... or try adding in your cookbook ......... Good luck. I am new to FatSecret and still working out details on how to ......

Hello everyone ! Help a U.K newbie please ?
When you go to add an item on your daily food diary ..... at the bottom should be a + add new food .... It will go to another page where you can put in new food info ......... Yes it should be easier but it wants to search that food is not already on site . Welcome to FS .......

I know on right side of My Diary where you put in meals there is a MY FAVORITE MEALS where you can put meals and then add bu one click ...... Maybe do this for each meal and then just three clicks a day ...... Hope this helps ...

INTRODUCE MYSELF
Good luck to you. Be sure to keep your doctors aware of all you are taking to monitor interactions. CPAC machine is an added help for resting . Maybe adding cinnamon to your diet when it fits could help control sugar numbers and sugar cravings ( does for me ). I have been monitoring my diabetic numbers since the '90s. You can be motivation and example to your son on caring for ones body ... and when one stumbles ( we all do ) you can show him how to get back and try again.

entering nutritional info from food label
Hi .... Hope this explains how ......... When you add a food to a meal ( + item ) ..... type in the space what the food is like normal ..... but go to bottom of listings you should see + add new food ....... double click ( a new square pops up and asks Add a new item named ....... to the data base ....... click OK and it goes to a page where you can add nutritional info ........
