I have been soooo sick since Halloween! My hubby was under the weather, but came to a party with me at my best friends' house for Halloween, anyway...and both my friend and I have been miserable ever since!
I'm only just starting to feel normal, today. I've had no appetite, a terribly upset stomach and a nagging headache--no fun! But I am ready to get back on the bandwagon, and hope my body gets back to normal fast...I really hate being sick!
Hope you're all faring better than me, and managing to keep the bugs away!

I'm excited about today...meeting my girlfriend, Emi at 6 to go do some girl talk over happy hour and then see the Michael Jackson movie! But to be honest, I'm a little worried about blowing my calories at the Cheese Cake factory (which is where she wants to go).
I think I'll just keep my cals super low today, get my workout in early (so there's no chance I'd miss it) and eat a giant salad before I head out to meet her...but do any of you guys have some suggestions on what apps to order there? I will keep my drinks to a minimum and keep those light, but I know that their food tends to be a caloriefest. Any suggestions would be SUPER helpful! :)
Well I better go make some lunch and drink some cran water so I can get my butt to the gym ASAP.
TTYL!

Good afternoon, guys! :)
I'm psyching myself up for my workout today (my hip flexors are sore from yesterday's long walk) and psyching myself up for our move to San Jose next month by trying to visualize what my life will be like when we're living there. I am pumped for the 24/hr fitness that I can ride my bike to, and even more excited about the bikram yoga studio...I can't wait to be able to afford to do my yoga three times a week! Its like therapy and a workout rolled into one. Plus you burn over 1,000 calories a class, which is pretty darn awesome. :)
Sending off a bunch of application emails today, but want to spent some time really thinking about how I want them to be received. Its actually a huge struggle trying to see everything in a positive light--including my body, but I know its necessary to achieve the results I want.
Well...I haven't drank very much today...I better go drink some cran water and start making lunch before I get too hungry!!
Have a great day!
xoxo,
L

Feeling totally satisfied and proud of myself! I convinced my hubby to walk to the nearest grocery store with me for exercise, and then we walked back through a local park. It ended up being a 5 mile walk! That felt good. It also made us more choosy in the grocery store, knowing we had to carry it back! ;)
For dinner, I treated us by trying out some "bad food" makeovers from Hungry-Girl.com I made the 6 pt double stacked bacon cheesy burger for my hubby (substituting a double fiber english muffin for the light burger buns, which I couldn't find). For me, I made the same thing, except I halved the recipe (just one patty, one slice of cheese, and one strip of extra lean turkey bacon on a double fiber english muffin). You can check out her recipe here: http://www.hungry-girl.com/chew/chewdetails.php?isid=1196
For our veggies, I made HG's faux-fried green beans and cool cucumber dip. Only 2 points per serving! Including the dip! Woot!! Recipe here:
http://www.hungry-girl.com/chew/chewdetails.php?isid=1533 Tastes just as good as TGI Friday's super-fatty version.
I'm so full now, and tired...but happy. It was definitely a great day being back on the weightloss wagon! :)

I woke up today feeling really positive. I have been trying to implement The Secret into my life and get really clear about what I want--which has been surprisingly hard, considering everything has been in the air and I so desperately need structure in my life! I wrote down everything I want for myself (including my weight loss and health goals) in the present tense, as if they were already mine, and it felt really good.
I enjoyed my workout yesterday and am a bit sore from the weight training, but that feels good to me. :) Since the weather is nice, I am considering a long walk to the grocery store today, in addition to my normal workout. Plus I haven't been able to pull myself away from the Hungry-Girl site and am getting excited about being able to cook for more than just 2 in the coming months.
Hope you all have a fabulous Sunday!!
