things are going well here. Weight loss is minor this week but since it was the holidays I think the 1/2 lbs loss is still a good thing. We are getting better and better at this pescatarian diet. I did this for my husband who was at risk of a heart attack and the doc told us no red meat and keep dairy down and make sure its fat free. It is amazing how much better I feel and the most amazing part is that I have lost the cravings for the sweets and night time snacks. It's a miracle! I am getting more recipes from the internet and its also amazing how easy cooking this way is. Our favorite is the black bean chili... just open a large can of petite diced tomatoes, add a can or two of black beans, and throw in a seasoning packet (I use Lawry's taco seasoning packet or fajitia packet) and supper is ready!
I need to start exercising again. Exercise is always my downfall, I hate it. I did like the Zumba class I was in but my husbands appointments kept getting in the way of my Zumba class times. I'm going to try it again and hopefully he will stop making appointments when its my Zumba time. Actually its called Zumba Gold... the gold class is for older people or people with handicaps and when i get strong enough I can move on the regular Zumba class's. Once I make it to that regular level I can go with my neighbor and have a workout buddy.

I am surprised at how well the holidays went. I made a Spaghetti Squash lasagna (layers of spaghetti squash, homemade spaghetti sauce with veggies in it and mozzarella cheese all layered into a vegetarian lasagna.. and everyone loved. Of course there was a nice salad to go with it and nice dessert of sugar free chocolate pudding with a dollop of crunchy peanut butter on top. Red win too of course (that was actually doctor's orders).
Things are going well. I am still amazed at how much more control I have over my appetite, This Pescatarian diet actually seem to keep me satisfied and I don't have those cravings anymore, its like a miracle for me! Our favorite supper is a tomato and black bean chili. but there are so many favorites adding up now (that spaghetti squash lasagna was a big hit!). Tonight is going to be simple, grilled tilapia (fish) and a mix of veggies, with our usual dessert of the SF pudding with peanut butter. I am so happy, I cant believe I am losing weight and not having cravings anymore. 4 more pounds gone this weigh in, Im ok with that... my body is changing and I can see a difference.

lost 3 lbs. The doctor told us that my hubby was at RISK FOR A HEART ATTACK!! Scared the hell out of after the last two years of his struggle to walk again... just when things are going well we get hit with that threat of heart attack... SO!! the doc told us to eat a Pescatarian diet , it has really been fairly easy to follow. He loves the bean and veggie soups and he loves the Mexican rice with tomatoes and black beans, there are lots of easy recipes online and our daughter is Pescatarian and has given me lots of helpful easy to do recipes. I am surprised at how much calories we can eat and still lose weight. It is because of the type of carbohydrates that are processed differently than meat products and such. Anyway, I lost a little weight and I am not as hungry like I use to be. Also feel better but the most amazing part is that I don't seem to have the usual cravings or desire to eat .. I seem full and content until the next meal comes along, I have actually skipped a meal (lunch) because I just wasn't hungry.. think this will help me and certainly try to keep a heart attack away from my door.
