The hardest part of my new diet is actually eating 6 times a day. I am eating more than I did previously, but am losing weight. I was previously a binge eater--I would only eat once or twice a day but I would eat until I was miserably full. I am doing way better but am still struggling with eating 6 times a day. Does anyone have any tips of how to make yourself eat in the morning? For some reason it is really hard for me to eat for the first 3-4 hours of the day (I feel nauseous and it's almost impossible to swallow).

I was diagnosed with a thyroid disease three years ago. I was prescribed synthroid and almost instantaneously started gaining weight (60 pounds within 6 months). Since the initial dramatic weight gain, I have gradually gained an additional 20 pounds. I have let myself go and don't really have a reasonable excuse for it.
I just found out today that my triglyceride level was 401 and my cholesterol level was 258--a reality check for sure! I am only 27 years old and a mother of two wonderful children; I don't want them to lose their mom to an awful heart disease.
I consulted with my mom and told her that I have to conquer this weight and health problem vigorously and she suggested this site--so here I am!

I am new to this and I am not currently on any certain diet but my doctor suggest a 1800 calorie diet today--so, I guess it's calorie counting for me :-)
