Day 30 - 39 minutes/11.2 miles/126 watts/68 rpm

I don't work this weekend, and I'm realizing I don't know what to do with myself when I have idle time. So I ended up polishing the stainless steel on the refrigerator and dishwasher, emptied and loaded said dishwasher, ran 4 loads of laundry and folded them, organized the garage, shoveled a path for the dogs in the backyard, folded all the blankets in the living room and straightened up, cleaned up cat vomit and spot cleaned.. all before my wife came downstairs. Needless to say, she seems pleased with my boredom activities.

Received a job opportunity in the mail that if I'm hired will pay $100k+ a yr. Not much chance in being selected due to lack of experience, but I passed the civil service test and have the grade so I'll throw my hat in the ring and see what happens.

Throwing a pic of my baby up because I briefly pulled her out of the driveway to exercise her this morning. Too much salt on the roads to take her out, but am looking forward to the warmer weather and going to the car meets.

Down 8 lbs. since I jumped back on FS, and it's taken a month to do so. Usually, I join some biggest loser competition and drop 40 lbs in 3 months, so this is probably the slowest and healthiest way I've ever tried to lose weight. My goal is to get between 235-245 and stay there, as tying shoelaces, putting on clothes and bending over are much easier at that weight. 17 days until my surgery.

Day 28 - 37 minutes/10.1 miles/109 watts/78 rpm

Moved snow from 11-3:30, played 3 hours of simulated golf (see picture below), had a fight with myself to get on the damn bike before my ride streak ends. As you can see by the numbers, I didn't push. All metrics were down, but I feel good for finding the time to squeeze the extra exercise in.

19 days until my surgery. Hoping to be under 250 lbs by then. I'm 6'4" with an athletic build so I don't appear heavy, but I definitely feel it. I will be very comfortable between 235 and 245. The pounds don't come off in your 50s as easy as they did in your 30s and 40s. That's a tip from your Uncle Al... Going to bed/see you tomorrow FS.

-Suicide and Redemption - Metallica (This song played during my ride. All instrumental and 9+ minutes long. Great for cadence over 80 rpms)
