I started biking more in training for sprint triathlon. Just visited Cancer Dr for 6 month check up and everything was good. Blood pressure was lower than usual and more in a normal range. My pants feel less tight around the waste. My focus is to keep losing fat in a sustainable way without swinging back and gaining more. I am more conscious of food than before going beyond just calories to observing macros. My exercise is also at a lower heart rate to burn more fat and be less abusive to my body. I look forward to getting faster being stronger and going farther. So many encouraging stories out there. Thankful to God for a second chance at life after cancer. 4 years cancer free High dose Chemotherapy- Autologous Stem Cell Transplant, 6 cycles Choep chemotherapy and lots of prayer brought me through.

losing 0.6 lb a week

My weight fluctuates so much over a couple of days that I have been keeping my weigh ins on the higher side for fear I am just picking a number that's in a trough/ dip. I am 148.4 the past two days so I am declaring my goal reached for weight and now I am still focused on fat loss but also building muscle. The low intensity running seems to help with burning fat along with no sodas and better eating. I have a long way to go to better balance my macros. finally realizing I need to do some strength training and eat more protein. I need to get blood work done to check lipids etc and see how that is going. Praise God coming up on 4 years cancer free May 17. (anniversary of High dose chemo and stem cell transplant). Our bodies are amazing. Ran 16 miles this week and biked 15. Preparing for a Sprint Triathlon on Labor day. Very Grateful. Jim
