Back up a bit but I don't feel too horrid. I've been unable to curb the carbs like I was worried would happen. Thing is, I'm still eating waaay better than I was before. There are some really good habits I've formed and will stick with but...

I'm really torn about how to proceed. There are things I really miss like fresh fruits and oats and cereal. The key is moderation of course (isn't it always) but sticking to low carb is what I need to define for me. The SAD norm is somewhere between 250 and 300 carbs a day. Most of those come from sugar, flour, and starches like potatoes.

I know I'll still refuse to eat wheat. Just cutting that one processed item from my regular intake has made a world of difference. I plan to stick with stevia as my primary sweetener but regular table sugar on occasion.

Being home all day has really thrown me. I know I'm getting more exercise than before, and am fairly confident that my caloric intake hasn't gone through the roof. Maybe I need to set the computer out on the dining room table for a few days to make it easier to keep track of my intake as a check. Its been hard to make the time for sitting down to get on here (which seems silly since I'm home all day) but it seems to be a prudent way to do a reality check since I'm not losing.

Not gaining isn't enough :)

The yard is almost kid friendly! All the piles of wood with nails are picked up, there aren't and spider infested hidey holes left, no access to dangerous trees to be climbed, all the holly bushes are cut back to unpickable heights... its only taken me 4 years but this summer is gonna rock.

My whole body is sore but its worth it. Since she's almost 5 I can feel secure letting her out there without me for more than 2.5 seconds. And who says yardwork isn't good cardio? I made a game yesterday out of hauling pitchfork full by pitchfork full of the piles of holly the 30 yards uphill to the front of the yard as fast as I could. Took about 9 trips and I was definitely feeling it!

Finally down a bit. My tummy was upset yesterday and I didn't eat much so as with the gains I'm taking it with a grain of salt... but its a new low :D

Up again this morning. :( official weigh in isn't till sunday but its still bumming me out.

The kitchen is becoming a real battle for me. Still just a bit here or there and I've gotten as much out of the house as I can but there are still some things I can't rehome since they're not mine.

Did a working interview for the server gig but since I don't have enough liquor knowledge they passed. I've been lax this week because I thought I was good so I need to double my efforts next week. Yay.

So this week has been about the kid mostly. I took her to the store and we got a bunch of art supplies and some workbooks for her to keep practicing her letters and whatnot. She's pretty excited over crafts.

Gotta get out and run again. With all the yard work last weekend, then the crazy shift on Tuesday at the restaurant I let it go wed and thurs and I feel super lazy today. How is it I have less time for some things now that I'm not working than I did before? As my mother tells me "Toyota!"
