I am very strong for my age blood work very good. Always maintained weight at 218 as a high school sports official was very active, but in 2015 had to retire due to osteoarthritis, and had a hip and knee replacement, which are doing very good can perform light jogging/walking and I use my old bowflex about 3-4 times a week on about a 25 min arm and abs routine. But after my two surgeries I have gained 23 pounds, AND I HATE IT! I WAS NEVER LIKE THIS!!!

Not loosing fast enough!
Thanks Diablo! You are absolutely correct I was wanting some magic here LOL!! Took a hit on the 8th my wife decided to come home and make one of her home made pizza which I used to indulge in quite frequently then she stopped! Which was a good thing for me but I had 4 pieces and went over a bit but got back on track on the 9th and actually dropped 1/2 pound!

Thank you for the excellent explanation Charlotte! I am going to stay on my diet, my bad knee seems to be easing up so I am going to try and tred and jog a bit. I know that is the difference. I used to be an official and got substantial running during the week but I had to give it up so I am not being active as I used to be! Thank you so much. I wont give up! Peace!

Not loosing fast enough!
I started on Jan 19. the site said my RDA was 2100 and I weighed 236. It stated I had to stay at 1760 to loose a pound a day and the first 11 days it worked great I lost 10 pounds in 11 days. I am currently staying well below the 1760 by about any where from 100 to 300 calories below and now I cannot loose weight! I do a workout on my bowflex about every 3rd day concentrating on mids and arm and chest! I have a bad knee awaiting surgery on so I cant get to my jogging that I love, but I don't understand why I cant loose weight with calories around 1500 every day!
