The challenges here at FS and at work are keeping me focused and moving in the right direction with my way of eating and increased trips to the gym.

It feels good to re-focus on getting my weight back down. By the end of the challenge at work (8 weeks), I hope to be in uncharted territory and moving into weight levels I haven't enjoyed in 20 years. It will be tremendous. It is strange, though, how much more I care about letting others down (my challenge team) than letting myself down. It is a character flaw that I definitely need to work on....

Work has been stressful - to the point that I had a verbal altercation with a manager and a fellow employee. It all boils down to me over-working myself and wanting to quit just to escape. The latest overcommittment is taking on the entire work load of someone who is out on maternity leave as well as someone (a long time employee like me) who quit. Their last days were the same day and has led to me, foolishly, trying to pick up the pieces so that our department keeps humming along. It is stupid of me: but I am compelled to do so, and need to figure out why.

I have set a meeting on Monday morning with my supervisor, the manager I had the fight with, and me. I need to discuss my future with the company. I need to figure out a solution to my overwhelming work load. I need to present my solution, ask for their help, and then follow through. I will be giving up a lot (about 500 hours a year of overtime pay), but I need to do this.
