RiverRes's Journal, 22 April 2017

Wow - nothing like ending your work week out of control to virtually erase your progress for the week. I am not complaining - I did it to myself. I did a paint and sip on Wednesday and had a good friend visiting yesterday, so I was definitely off my routine. Too much drink and too much food.

Back on the wagon today. I am starting with an extended trip to the gym followed by catching up on some of my household chores. It is raining here again this morning so gardening/planting flowers will have to wait until tomorrow. I am so looking forward to adding some color to the outside of my house.

I did finally get my blood test results from the doctor. 5.4 on the blood sugar, so outside of pre-diabetes (woohoo!!). The cholesterol came in under 200 as well - 60 for HDL, 95 for LDL, but my triglycerides are still a little high at 219. Even my vitamin D was normal for the first time in nearly a decade. There was concern about my kidney function, however; so I go back in 1-1/2 weeks for a re-check. I will reserve panic and freaking out until then. I will do as instructed, though. No more drinking alcohol, drinking more water, etc. Hopefully, it will just be a one time abnormal result.

I have a ton of work to do for my upcoming bowlathon to benefit the American Cancer Society and our Relay for Life team. It is a lot of fun, but boy is it a lot of work as well. The work of creating raffle baskets and trophies is also on the agenda this weekend.
