It was a good week for me. I was very good with my eating and I managed to make it to the gym 6 out of 7 days this past week. My "off" day was consumed with house cleaning and other chores in preparation for two housewarming parties resulting in over 23,000 steps on the fitbit ina single day - far more steps than when I work out!

I introduced my co-workers to my low calorie pizza alternative (pita pizza) at my housewarming party and they liked it! Low calorie margaritas and smart choices for snacks made for a great party and I still managed to stay within my calorie goals. Although, I must admit, working out with a hint of a hangover is no fun.

Back to reality today, despite it being MLK day. I guess I shouldn't complain - we can't have all the holidays off and we did just have several paid days for Christmas/New Year.

I am going to eat well again today - making homemade chicken noodle soup for dinner. Perfect day for it given the 3-4 inches of snow we are expecting. I am going to work out in the work gym until the new gym mellows out a bit. It gets so busy there after work. I thought the work gym was busy in the late afternoon, but it is nothing compared to new gym. Not only does it have the New Year resolution people there in force, the gym is just two months old, and so the novelty of joining is still pretty high. I don't do well when I have to fight just to get on equipment. I would rather work on our limited equipment in the work gym and focus on actually moving and getting my workout in!

Great job keeping your housewarming party low carb. How cool to have a new gym to go to. I wouldn't like waiting on equipment either. Have a nice MLK day.
