Rest day. After nearly 10 days of full on demolition, painting, furniture moving, etc. I can finally take a little time today. All of the flooring has been installed for the main floor, stairs, and the two bedrooms downstairs. My "rest day" will still be filled with activity, but it will be normal - laundry, kitchen, vacuuming. I never thought standard housework would be restful, by right now it sounds pretty dang attractive.

I have been good with watching what I ate through this whole process. Not great - if I had stuck with my typical eating, I probably would have passed out from hunger. Having to eat out didn't help either - my kids love a fast food place that doesn't have grilled chicken or sides that are conducive to dieting. I did make the best of it by limiting my consumption, though, and the calorie deficit of being constantly on the move really helped.

Back to work next week. It will be good for me - I will come home in the evening and work on the house in smaller chunks. I hope to have another big painting weekend next weekend - painting the open area of the hallways, living room kitchen/dining area, and stairway. The painting square footage will be similar to what we have already painted. The stairway sucks, though. Tough ladder work for sure. Finishing the painting should put me in good shape to have the house market ready by the end of June. What a month.

What a month, indeed. I'm tired now aft reading it. You doing regular housework will be easier. Good job tho. Enjoy your accomplishments. You deserve it.
