Day two of fasting. I have done a 42+ hour fast every week for the past four weeks. I do intermittent fasting on the other 5 days. I am really enjoying the benefits of fasting now that I figured out my gut issues. My weight loss is steady. I eat well on my five feasting days and stay on track with my macros. I am restoring my metabolism after damaging it with caloric restrictions for the past few years.

I never thought I could fast. Go without a meal? You have got to be kidding! I am so happy that I am getting it mastered. My journey has been gradual (first, I did intermittent fasting and now I am building toward more and more hours). The benefits have been so awesome, I can't believe how much better my knee feels. I had been taking ibuprofen every day; but in the past three weeks, no ibuprofen whatsoever! Amazing. I still walk and work out every day, so it the change isn't from resting the knee. I even ran a bit last Saturday (something I could never do) with no pain or issues.

I know right? Isn't fasting awesome? So many benefits, but not easy and not for the faint hearted. It takes work and so easy to give up, but even short fasts have health benefits. Good Job!

My sister went from "Fasting? What?" to a 10 day 'water only' fast that she tells me she plans to 'extend' a few days. I can barely keep up with you guys! :)
