Okkkkkk, well today the IT box on the floor did register what my weight was at last posted amount (which was August 16), so it is now 168.2 So that is good :-) I have been on track with my woe but maybe not so much with my wol. Been kind of down lately but that change will just take time and I will not allow it to push me to go off my woe, which would have been the case in the past. I feel good and have been taking more minerals & vitamins and eating right. I did add fruit to my daily foods which would cause me to overindulge but I have been able to keep it to 2 pieces a day, normally a tangerine & apple or a bunch of berries. I have kept OUT nuts and seeds in my house right now. I know they are healthy but I just cannot eat just one serving and I would eat them in through the night also, soooo for now they are a no in my pantry. My kids & grands are coming a couple weeks for a long holiday weekend I just hope I can keep it together while they are here. There will be a birthday celebration and although I am not a cake eater (unless a really good German Chocolate or carrot cake) They all like & normally get an ice cream cake, WHICH is an issue for me. I cannot eat just one slice or leave left overs in the freezer for long, so maybe I will consider getting the nuts/seeds then and allowing myself a 'treat' instead of the cake. We will see. For right now I will just keep doing one day at a time and sometimes one moment at a time :-)

I hear ya about the nuts and seeds. I really like pumpkin seeds and mac nuts. It's hard to overeat mac nuts b/c they are so rich really - have you tried those yet? But mostly I don't snack in between meals anymore so I don't really eat them. Well, don't feel bad if there is left over ice cream cake and you just trash it. It's more important to take care of yourself than worry about a few bucks wasted.

thanks ny_shelly, Yes I like Mac nuts also and even though they are rich I can overdo on them also! But what ever I do decide and buy I'm going to put in serving sizes right when I buy them so that should help a little AND yes I've decided to just trash what is left over on cake but I know my kids & grands will probably take care of eating it. I just want to STAY AWAY from the freezer that night it is in there!

If I fail to plan then I plan on failing, so you are looking ahead and I totally understand the when the scale is up and down even tho you are keeping on track. I just realize it is water or just plain variations going on in my body and I'm ok with that. Having the family over sounds deilghtful! We are not as luck as my kids are flexible with their socializing so we are sheltering in place for now but doing the screen time for visiting. It's what we are comfortable with this so it will have to do! Enjoy every minutes with them and try to engage in that and see some of the trouble food as ART and enjoy what it looks like and honestly we have TASTED EVERYTHING at our age so why not watch them indulge and I usually have something that I really like! I am on the fast and was able to make a delicious batch of bone broth for the week (I have 2 a day on my fast day) and it works for me. As for the cake ask if they can just get a smaller version so nothing is left over and only for the folks who want to eat it. Perhaps you can make some smoothies into ice cream pops and have them but dont be suprised if everyone wants one ha ha ha! Supporting you in any way that works and know it is the people that count as the food is temporary 🙏😷😉

I can so relate to everything you've said. I go back and forth with fruit and recently attempted to add it back in, overate it so stopped it, nuts and seeds eliminated for now, I can't believe how few is a serving...About the cake- I do pretty good when other people are around so I think I could stop at ONE piece but definitely wouldn't want it in the house if by myself. I too am trying to have a plan and stick with it. It is HARD!
