JMA312's Journal, 11 July 2018

ok, day 3 of my 3 day routine :-) I'm doing ok, just STUFF creeps in to try to raz me, but again. Even though it is my "monkey & zoo", sometimes I don't have to visit that PART of the zoo! I always would chuckle when I heard someone say that phrase; "Not my monkey not my zoo" (i believe that is the way it goes) BUT it really is our/my monkey our/my zoo, since if we are thinking about it, well it does effect us the big thing is WE have to be able to control HOW it EFFECT US...then again that is easier said than done, so that is why I put my little twist on it by saying, 'well it IS my monkey, my zoo BUT I can choose not to visit that section of the zoo, today or at least right now", Then after saying that to myself (always to myself, as I'm sure others would not really appreciate it) I chuckle and it is just a little bit lighter of a situation, or at least it is such that I can handle it a little bit calmer....
I did go to 24/7 this morning, only did the elipical bike and the other rebound trainer thing (I'll get the right name next time I go) it is really neat, I almost didn't go today but I'm glad I did. This evening I'm going to try to make the 5:30 into class for showing what all the machines do and making sure I know how to use them, it is an open class for all newbies so I'm hoping it is not super packed but that there is at least more than just me there!
I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.
I'm kind of stressed about food tomorrow and through the weekend, my son & his GF want to cook for me, they are trying to accomodate my woe but I don't want them to do anything special or stop the way they like to eat, they don't eat meat, they do eat eggs & some cheese but mostly grains, vegies (all kinds) and fruits, So I don't want to 'carb out' but we will see what they come up with. Oh and they do like beer & wine....well maybe a glass Friday & Saturday evening ;-)
Hope all is well in FS land
and take care to ALL :-)

well you don't have to eat the rice or fruits which is a good thing. I am sure they will make something marvelous for you. and if it is a little off, you will just have to do the best you can. your visit is the most important part of that

thanks Baskington & Pickface :-) I know they are really super cooks & love to cook and grocery shop. Both things I don't care for. One good thing was they were thinking about rice but I suggested cauliflower rice and they were excited about trying that. I've never tried it yet either. They did make a cauliflower pizza crust that was super. :-)

YES to cauliflower rice!!!! I have it everyday seasoned with cumin in my Mexican meals! Yumm! I just had some that was mixed with riced sweet potato - bought it frozen at Target! Maybe you could also suggest spiraled zucchini or butternut squash with a sauce in place of pasta?

Get enough protein to balance out the grains and veggies if you are watching carbs.

If they eat seafood make a stir fry.

Not my circus, not my monkeys - much less controlled than a zoo!
