Okay first off I found this cool site for us ladies expecting. weight gain calculator I have gained too much weight 4 out of 5 tines I have been pregnant. My weight before kids was 118. I was about 160 with the first, 175 with the second and 190 with the last three. Never happening again. Things I wish I knew now is no you are not eating for two. You are eating for one and you need an average of 300 calories more a day. The extra skin you are left with after bouncing aroung high weights sucks. If you exercise no matter how worn out you feel. You will actually feel better. Don't drink too many calories. Your baby needs them in the form of healthy foods. Now the bad news is I got back up to 130 after too many cookouts and ice cream. Good news is I learned from it so I no longer vuy ice cream for the house. Nearest place is a 25 minute drive and I typically only go that way once a week so I just indulge in a small one then. Next is only cook meat that doesn't require bread at cookouts so I won't over do it. Also I try to remind myself daily that I am the size of a large child so buy kids meals or only the equivalent too. Surprisingly I am full after eating it and don't feel miserable and sleepy. Also always judging my amount on the size of my stomach not my eyes. Lol. This also seems to be helping a lot. So the good news for me is so far I am 12 weeks tomorrow and have gained no weight! Would like to keep this trend for another three weeks. After that if I begin to add a pound a week that will put me at maybe 155. You need to gain approximately 25-35 pounds at my size pregnant so if I only gain 25 maybe that other 10 will disappear quicker after the baby and I won't feel so sluggish from being overweight. This is my plan and goal. The only thing that would cause me to reconsider is if there turns out to be more than one little person in there. Which would be AWESOME! But God knows his plans for my life.

That sounds awesome but I don't have the same news to report. I am 16 weeks and have gained about 12 pounds. Early on, I got so hungry....and I ate a didn't even track my calories. I guess it is not too late but I feel that I am doing awful and wish I were doing as well as you are. For the past 2 weeks, I've held my weight at around 142. When I found out I was pregnant I was about 128-129 but I usually maintain a weight of 123. I have to start doing better but today I am already on a bad track. :( it appears that most of my weight gain is my belly and it is getting rounded which is exciting.

Don't beat yourself up. I have been very blessed not to have morning sickness for once. I think that has helped a lot. Not searching for dry toast or something to ease it. Also it took me 5 kids to decide to be more careful. I just can't endure going through all the emotional stuff of getting so heavy again. Also you never know maybe you could have twins. Its never too late to start watching how much you eat. All I have done is switch to smaller portions and it seemed to help a ton. Are you still having morning sickness? Have you been to the doctor yet?

Also that is so awesome we are only 2 weeks apart. It will be nice to see how someone else is doing through the stages again. :)

I have been to the doctor and they didn't really say much of anything. I never threw up but I felt sick and was tired a lot. Before I got small I was very big and I really don't want that again. But I've not done anything to stop it ...

I am taking Garden of Life Vitamin Code Raw Prenatal and they are the first prenatal that doesn't make me want to puke. But it has ginger in it to help with morning sickness also it has raw iron which helps keep you from wanting to puke when you take them. I bought them from vitaminshoppe dot com. I also am taking their raw b complex with choline and oceans 3 omegea 3 with dha and I almost never feel worn down since I started them. I don't know if your interested in any of this information but the prenatal pill I think might help you with the sickness. You should be about out of that stage though hopefully. Did you have morning sickness really bad with your other kids?

Sorry I knew you had more than one but I didn't realize your other children are from your husband.

I was not sick with my son. (He's my only one.) But after our conversation last night, I decided that I am going to start right now! And make a change! I have my workout gear here at work and am going to workout right after work. When I first got pregnant even before I knew I was, I felt so hungry and out of control. But I am not feeling that way anymore and I am going to find the inner willpower that I used when I was heavy before and lost over 50 pounds. Pray for me! I also have a very healthy lunch and I have trashed the junk I had at my desk.. ....I'm starting fresh now! I will certainly look into the vitamins you mentioned. Thank you for the motivation!

Just make sure your keeping well hydrated and don't get overheated. We sweat when we get hot but the baby doesn't. They say when you are pregnant to drink 6 ounces of could water every 15-20 minutes when exercising for that reason. And don't worry about feeling too tired sometimes. Our bodies are already pulling double duty taking care of us and making a baby. My biggest motivator is fear of having to battle coming down from 190 again. We both know what an emotional journey that is to try to fight losing all that weight again. I will be praying for you and your family. Keep in touch.
