Had a quite long fast yesterday due to a restaurant lunch on Thursday, then a late dinner yesterday. Alltogether it was 29 hours. I felt fantastic! I also exercised for 25 minutes yesterday on breaks. For all of that, I dipped below goal 1, so now I am off and running to goal 2. Tinas birthday today so I am holding off until 5:30 for that. Love this "Diet."

UPDATE** OK, I am a little slow, but I just realized that people are actually reading what I am putting out here...I guess I thought it was either private, or that no one would bother with reading it...my actual intention was to simply document how I feel and what changes are occurring for my own benefit..but, if you're reading and, in case you're wondering, I am journaling my experience with Fast 5, not exactly Primal Blueprint, although I started with Primal Blueprint and I love it. My reasons for "switching" are actually because Marks Daily Apple has this fantastic blog about the benefits of fasting, including blood sugar levels and diabetes protection (my mom and sis are BOTH diabetics and I am a DIE hard SUGAR addict) as well as cancer protection and other health benefits. So, I got started there, read some of Lean Gains, and some of FAST 5....and found out that it's the easiest, cheapest, and most convenient "diet" I have ever done...no pre-planning or expensive grocery shopping...I just eat what my family eats for dinner. I am at work for breakfast and lunch, and I no longer find myself running to the grocery store on every break to get whatever my cravings have determined I must buy....I like the control. I think the best feeling is not having the blood sugar fluctuations- that tired, groggy, brain fog that comes after giving in to the weak, stressed, need for sweets. I still have my sweets, usually once a day, but the difference is, I choose when, and I stop the minute it doesn't taste good anymore....and those minutes come sooner now. I have also learned that the weight loss is expected to be slow, and that 1-2 lbs a week is what I am getting, and that I am pretty happy about that..it just seems ok and it is working. Until something changes, I am sticking with it. I haven't been advertising my diet to friends and family, I am not ready to hear all of the "advice" that everyone seems to offer about the "most important meal of the day" or whatever they think I should be eating. If they only knew that NOW, I don't even get hungry until 2 pm...I know what doesn't work, and I can prove that if you just check my pants size!!! If you're looking for the "thing" that makes you a "before," I wish you lots of luck. This is just my experience, nothing more.
219.8 lb Lost so far: 12.2 lb.    Still to go: 89.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
