kingkeld's Journal, 26 March 2012

Good morning. It's a few hours later than usual for my weigh-in and journal. I slept so good this morning I didn't want to get out of bed!

We changed to Daylight Savings Time (or did we change back from it?!?), so this morning is an hour short. I slept so good, I decided to just stay in bed until I absolutely HAD to get up. Nice!

So this journal is written at work, and will of course have to be a little bit shorter than usual because of that. I have a bunch of stuff to do, but I wanted to write a little on here first.

Journaling is important for me - it helps me stay focused on my mission.

I did okay on my food choices yesterday. I was in a snacking mood all day, but ended up opting for home made smoothies, which is only frozen fruit and milk, with a little sweetener. Not bad at all.

I seem to gain and lose the same kg over and over these days. It bothers me a little, since I still have the <77 kg goal next week.

I have thought that my interview with the doctor is this coming Monday. Well, I was going through the papers this morning, and it turns out that it's TUESDAY! So I have one more day to wait. Then again, I also have one more day to push the weight down. Maybe that's not a bad thing.

So now, the race is on! I have to be below 77 kgs by TUESDAY morning next week to reach my personal, final goal. I hope I make it. If I don't it's okay too - I should more than qualify for the surgery, at least on the things that I can affect. Let's just hope that doc is okay with everything.

Anyways, I better get to work.

Today I'm thankful for:
- Phones are down at work (= quiet morning)
- Coffee!
- A great night's sleep!

Life is good!

Its good to sleep in King, I wanted to the past few days for some reason. Perhaps it's our cloudy skies here lately with our cool weather, we are actually getting very rare rain. I know your thinking about that same kilo over and over, and after losing so much on your journey, it is probably disheartening. However, once your reach your goal and fully incorporate maintenance mode, you will do that over and over for eternity. I know I do not look forward to that either. Perhaps a good question to ask is "How other people handle the end of the journey?". It is something I think about sometimes, even though I am far from it.

Those dang clock alterations! My hubbie 'overslept' this morning, because of them. He reset all the clocks and time clocks (such a pain), but forgot he needed to, separately alter the time projection on the alarm clock. (the clock projects the time on the ceiling, so if you wake in the night, you can see it on the ceiling). Well he woke up, but then dozed for an hour.... Added to that, the alarm didn't go off either!!! MAJOR rushing about this morning. I am sure you will focus now... Not long to wait - just don't let the stress /anticipation throw you into an 'munchies' frenzy.... Set to keep extra busy and exercise when you get an urge to put something in your mouth. Have a good day

Wise words, JP. I appreciate it. I think I'll be okay maintaining AFTER my last goal. If I can keep losing the same kg after that at surgery, I'm one happy guy. That's what maintenance is all about, isn't it? It's just that I WANT to be at the right weight for Tuesday. It's a goal, and it's been a mission for ages. It sucks to NOT reach it at the end of the line.

Our time change was two weeks ago and I think my body is still adjusting. We had summer weather last week but today it will be more normal. Windy and only in the 40's. I heard that wind and didn't want to get up. Have a great day.

our time change here was 2 weeks ago as well, I think we're finally used to it, but DANG, the weather here in TX is making me mad... WHERE OH WHERE did my WINTER go? It never actually came here... low 60s this morning, supposed to be up to about 82 this afternoon... for the time being, windows open for the breeze... Hang in there Keld! You'll be on the list for surgery before you know it!! :)
