your not eating enough calories. under 1200 calories is not healthy if you don't eat enough you will not lose weight because your body will go in Starvation mode and hang on to the fat you must drink at least 8 to 10 4 ounce cups of water a day

Hi Daniel, your intake is fine - I operate at around 1,200/day (no more than 1,400) but I am quite sedentary at work although I do go for a fast walk for at least 6 miles a day. I think your carb intake is rather high as opposed to your protein intake so you may like to swap them - higher protein, lower carbs and this will make you feel fuller for longer and less likely to snack or overeat at your next meal. It is also better for you and will cut down on any bloating you may feel. I keep a bowl of boiled eggs in the fridge for when I fancy a snack and they work a treat. As for the drinking water, it's always a good idea, however, the recommended 2 litres of water a day includes water in your food so don't feel that if you haven't had your eight glasses you are failing. Salad foods and fruit contain an awful lot of water and will contribute a lot towards this goal. It is also said (and I can never follow this advice for long but I'm not very good at routine) that a glass of water drunk quickly before food will fill you up so you will be less likely to overeat. It will work, but if you are exercising with your current food intake, you should have a good calorie deficit. Keep going Daniel, don't give up, you'll find your rhythm and then the weight will drop off.

Also coffee, tea, beer and wine, etc., also contribute to your liquid intake as even with the dehydration and diuretic effects your body ingests more than it expels. Although, naturally, no-one on this site drinks . . . :)
