warrenwinter's Journal, 10 November 2016

Well, a discouraged Thursday for myself, but rewarded by hitting goal for the first time in the year, I have been on this site. Thanks to ALL for your encouragement to coming to this point of much better health, than when I started. I am elated by it, really. I wish to address three takeaways from the election, that has influenced my thinking.

1.Don't discount the political HATE for California, Hollywood, entertainment, and our extremely liberal run state, that if it were a country, it would have the 4th, or so, best economy in the world. We are taxed here to the HILT, but we are BIG, and we have a million more grade school students, than any other state, and we take pride in it. We are challenged here, by an ever growing homeless community, because of our warm climate.

2.Don't discount the "conservative rights" ability to disparage our leaders, with relentless attacks, and their ability to ALWAYS find a soft spot. Interesting to me Lindsay Graham said he had never sent an email. So in other words, communication wasn't very important to him. How is sending emails against the law??? Try and explain that????

3.We saw a great example of a divided party between Hillary and Bernie, who had the exact same platform and issues, but couldn't carry a united message to the general election. Shame on STUPID liberals. Getting bogged down with semantics, and would rather see a fascist running our country. In California we voted in Hillary almost 2 to 1, a landslide vote for her.
Have a great day, everyone!

Well done on meeting your goal despite everything that's been thrown at you. You've persevered, kept cheery, supported many people with their challenges and thoroughly deserve that "Still to go: 0"

Thanks Phooka, it has been a battle with the really bad knee, and cancer, but everyone's encouragement, and tolerating my crazy posts has warmed my heart.

Wow! Great loss. Congrats on reaching goal. I too am sad about the election. I am in shock and disbelief. But I refuse to give up on the goodness of the American people even tho this election has brought out some ugly sentiments that truly disappointed me. *sigh*

Thanks Mom of those Boxers. How are they doing? We are very concerned about our blind Cocker, not looking forward to taking him to be put down. That is a day, in the future, I dread.

Our Boxer mix babies are doing just great, Warren! Our last Boxer went blind after the vet gave him prednisone for the pain and complications of cancer. He was only 8 years old at the time. The medicine caused the retinas to come unattached. It was horrible. I read online that dogs adjust to blindness so much better than humans. Their other senses become more acute and they make fast adaptations. Still heartbreaking to watch, isn't it? How old is your Cocker?

Thanks lulani, Rhontique, and Kes! I think Mad Money's Jim Cramer said something very funny. Four years is a long time to lose sleep. I have almost resigned myself to see what they do with their to control all three branches, but tearing down the 8 years of Obama, is moving in the wrong direction. Obama admitted Obamacare needed work. wonder how people with life threatening illness will feel when their healthcare is cancelled. Mine cost 30K between my wife's work and us to pay. Healthcare isn't cheap. Why don't people get that. Well healthcare by ER will be back again. Sad, for the people who work ER.

We are not sure how old Buddy is, but my neighbor put him in our backyard, thinking he was the other Cocker. My wife couldn't part with him, and we looked for his owner of his chip, but they were gone. He was probably dumped. We think he is between 11- 13. We hope he lasts another year. Winters get tough.

Healthcare is cheap...it's what we do here. What's expensive is SICK care! How the medical industry ever came to be called health care is beyond me.

Thanks Hopeful. I kind of wanted to get that off my shoulders, a bit. I am most saddened, that women's rights are never going to be the same with an extreme Supreme Court. Social issues will never be the same. I hear taking gay marriage away is high on the agenda. Wonder, if they can take their rights away, that they were already given. Will they no longer be married. One gay leader, on TV, said that he could die if Obamacare is taken away, as he has HIV. Interesting, how, SO CALLED, Christians elect Trump, but believe gays are sacrilegious.
