A very thoughtful, and remorseful Friday in regards to the senseless violence, that has become so common in America. It minimizes, and puts a shadow on the importance of our forum here in contrast. Our diets, for many of us, are a struggle to maintain our own health. I think many of us, realize this battle is a struggle to extend our livelihoods, and is critical to our own well being. I hope, that we all can find the strength in ourselves to find fulfilment and well being. Have a great, safe day!

Very sad indeed, Warren :( Wish we could all live happily with each other. After all, we all want the same things don't we? A nice peaceful life for our friends and family. Why is everyone not striving to do this for us and our fellow beings on the planet? Why are we spending billions on getting man into outer space when people are dying of starvation on earth? I don't understand and probably never will but it makes me so sad :(

@Kpwcalories........It's not just what happened in Dallas; it is what perpetuated the situation in Dallas. The daily situation is getting more and more disturbing in the states. There isn't a day that doesn't go by that I am not reading about these despicable stories.....makes me sick to my stomach. Try living in Europe and explaining this to Europeans. They can't even fathom these situations. Prayers to the family and friends who have lost loved ones related to senseless violence.

April, my take on this, is that two black citizens, that did nothing wrong, were executed by police, when the were shot, as many as five times each. They never jail these bad cops. They ALWAYS get off. This has been going on here for 100 years. In response, many officers in Dallas were killed by a black in response to the two police killings. He was finally blown up with a bomb. Other citizens were shot too. The police have a very tough job, but a few officers in this country don't know what they are doing. There also is a problems with racism being a big part of the culture of police departments. It is worse in some parts of this country than others.

@WW.........It's been going on for more than 100 years; more like hundreds of years.

Good point!!

When I lived in America for a while, I was shocked at the amount of racism. We have far less in the UK. I'm not saying it doesn't exist but it really doesn't compare. Historical prejudices, I guess :(

In this nation, blacks experience these killings daily. While we ask God for love and protection..we would be better off to reform our police departments to weed out those too frightened, too inexperienced , too angry to do the job of policing from their ranks.

The real problem is very simple, my opinion again. Blacks and minorities don't have the job opportunity in their community, that others do. They are expected to live successfully without education, job, opportunity, welfare benefits, and many times are almost forced into shady, street life to exist.

It is a sad point, that good officers are dying for sins of bad officers, that show there misgivings each day.

It is so shameful that these police shootings continue to plague the US; @Brisbee I think your point is spot on! It's terrible when the news brings one to tears day upon day....

We need to focus on ONE big problem, that I can't discuss on here. It would make us all much SAFER!

This is where AMERICA is AT! 10 of our states here are suing the federal government to NOT allow transgenders to choose their bathroom! ENOUGH SAID! LOL AND THIS ISN'T FUNNY!

Officer breaks down crying, when saying the officer's bulletproof vest were shot with holes from automatic weapon fire from the suspect. All they had were 9mm handguns.

@Engeland, I totally agree. I don't know if you've seen the videos from the last two police shootings before the Dallas attack yet, but they were horrific. The good news is that modern technology is getting these stories out in an unfiltered, eye-opening way that was not possible before the average person on the scene could make and widely transmit these videos. The question is whether our society will actually do anything about it. I echo your prayers.

So interesting, the real problem, was shooter had body armor, and the police body vests were worthless to the vest penetrating bullets he was using. He was shot a number of times, but was not hurt.

I can't express my disgust with what precipitated the Dallas shootings with my family, (wife excluded), but I damn well better (and do) feel as much or more disgust about what happened in Dallas. Until we can TALK about the issues without automatically picking a political side, things will never get better.

I TOTALLY agree, Phil. I am SO tired of political, party nonsense, and forgetting about what AMERICA stands for. We have too many problems to deal with for all of this embarrassing, political NONSENSE!
